# What is xWIN Finance?
xWIN Finance is a product created by the xWIN Group that focuses on connecting investors, fund managers, and DeFi projects. It was built in February 2021 and offered funds to investors on the BNB chain. Now xWIN Finance version two has been out on BNB, Arbitrum, and Polygon. xWIN Finance allows investors to deposit stablecoin into xWIN Vaults and Partner Vaults which will automatically allocate the tokens into cryptocurrency tokens. # Mission and Vision

Using our historical data, the robo-advisor uses an algorithmic approach to calculate how much a user should invest in a token. xWin Robo-Advisor recommends not only native tokens but also our xWin Vaults. Once the user creates a private vault through RoboAdvisor that fund becomes a [private vault](https://xwin-technology.gitbook.io/untitled/product-overview/vaults). **What allocation approaches are available?** Individual investors provide age and risk tolerance parameters and choose the allocation model. xWIN engines provide two approaches: Mean-Variance Optimization Weighted Average Sharpe Ratio xWIN platform continuously captures all the related market data of all the universal assets supported including our strategies. The data will be analyzed and transformed into statistical data such as expected returns, volatilities, covariance, and Sharpe ratio. These data are important parameters to achieve the optimal asset allocation for our clients **Mean-Variance Optimization** In portfolio management, mean-variance analysis is a method used to determine the optimal allocation of assets in a portfolio using the factors provided including risk tolerance and age. It involves considering the expected return and risk (variance) of each asset in the portfolio and finding the combination that maximizes the expected return for a given level of risk. The mean-variance analysis allows investors to benefit as it enables better decision-making and improved performance. Mean-variance analysis helps investors create the optimal combination of assets by maximizing the expected returns for a given level of risk. Putting all the investment into one asset is very risky and may not return as much. Diversification allows investors to invest different portions of their accounts into many different strategies that reduce risk. The xWIN optimizer creates the best portfolio for its investor by creating not only the best tokens for the investor but also how much allocation for each asset using the inputs from the user. **Weighted-Average Sharpe Ratio** The Weighted Average Sharpe Ratio uses the Sharpe Ratio, the measure of risk-adjusted return. The risk-adjusted return considers the risk as well as the risk-free rate to see how much return a token is compared to the safest option like stable coin staking. The approach will first allocate the major allocation into stable coin-staking assets based on the risk tolerances as a parameter. Only xWin Finance and xWin Partner vaults can be invested by other users. The vaults created by users are private vaults and only they can invest in them. These vaults consist of allocations of tokens that are provided by xWin Finance. Many of these funds take advantage of algorithms and automation making xWin Finance a one-stop shop for crypto investment. xWin Vaults are categorized into different sections including: * Allocation * Technical Analysis * Stable Coin Alpha * Dollar Cost Average * Reverse Dollar Cost Average * Lending # Allocation (Index Fund) Index funds or funds that hold various tokens in the fund. The purpose of SCA is to ensure that the user doesn’t lose any of the principal amount. To do this, the fund gets USDT or other stablecoins and earns interest using staking. With the earned interest, the fund automatically buys a token like BTC and only uses the earned interest. The dollar-cost average buys the tokens every day to ensure that the user never buys all of them at a high price. These lending vaults require the user to deposit tokens not stablecoin. Therefore, the unit price as USDT may be off as it converts the price of the token to the stablecoin. Users can deposit part of a token into these funds however, if the token amount is too small, the deposit may not go through as the fund may not be able to estimate the share. They can invest in any of the available tokens and any xWin Vaults and Partner Vaults. Please note that the wallet that creates the vault can deposit, withdraw, and rebalance. We can not remove any tokens from any vaults on behalf of the user if the user loses the wallet. Once you have connected your wallet, all of your private vault will appear in My Vault under the My Menu. The recent vault page shows the recent private funds created. Also, you can use the search bar to find older private funds that were created. You will not be able to invest in other private funds if it is not your own. # Fees xWIN Finance introduces asset management fees in a transparent and decentralized way. All managed funds and strategies include fees. Additionally, funds may include a performance fee to incentivize managers to achieve results. All 3 fees are calculated based on the time past which is calculated based on how many blocks have passed. To save gas, the code calculates the fees when the manager calls the fund to withdraw their fees. There are 4 fees used in xWin Finance. As each fund differs in its own ways, the fees also reflect this nature. The strategy fees and performance fees are shared between the partner fund manager and xWin Finance. **Platform Fee** The platform fee is maxed at 1% of the fund and is used for the development of xWin Finance. **Strategy Fee** The max for strategy fee is 3% and is calculated yearly. **Performance Fee** There are two different performance fees depending on the fund: book cost vs High Water Mark. The max for the performance fee is 20% and is calculated periodically if it is a high water mark and book cost is calculated when the user withdraws. **Swap Fee** When the user uses xWin Finance to swap between tokens in any vault, the xWin Finance has a swap fee of 0.1% or less depending on the time and token. # Book Cost vs High Water Mark Performance fee has two settings: book cost or high water mark. They both have very different calculations and can impact users even when they deposit. **Book Cost:** The fee is calculated when the user deposits into the fund. The fund notes the price the user deposits and calculates the fee when the user withdraws. If the user does not make any profit, there will be no performance fee.
**High Water Mark:** The high water mark (HWM) is calculated based on the time and percentage. It mints the necessary quantity fund token back to the investors. In addition to that, it always checks the subscription value if it is less than 5% of total locked value in the pool. If it is less than 5%, the BNB subscribed will be retained in the pool as it is. This is to reduce the gas fee of being swapped into the underlying tokens for smaller investors. The BNB as base currency will be accumulated and triggered to swap into underlying once it is more than 5% #### Slippage By default, xWIN will set price impact of 0.50%. It means if the swapping price is higher than 0.50% in any of the tokens, the transaction will be reverted. This is to protect the investors from the front-runner attacks. However, subscriber can change the parameter in the UI to loosen the restriction if needed. #### Referral Fee xWIN is introducing a referral system in the protocol. Referral could get 0.20 $XWIN for every 1 BNB token deposited to any of the xWIN Vaults. Fund owner will enjoy the 0.05 XWIN for every 1 BNB token subscribed to any one of the xWIN Vaults.
